Nell's at Kampus

Nell’s confidently burst to life in 2021, powering vibrantly out of lockdown to quickly establish a progressive and busy neighbourhood bar and NY pizza kitchen within the acclaimed Kampus development in central Manchester. Set by a sunny canal-side garden, Nell’s has quickly established itself as a lively, new and sustainable venue type for a successful post pandemic city centre.

UNA worked intensively through several iterations of the interior design through lockdown, helping to finally arrive at a unique and vibrant interior language which seeks to surprise. This process was focussed on the avoidance of over-used and tired interior design themes to create an animated and powerful material palette running over a diverse range of spaces within the existing concrete shell.

We worked alongside artist Tara Collette, who produced a series of small and large format banners within the space.
